Python is a powerful and easy-to-use programming language. Python is multi-platform and can be run on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Unix.

This workshop will cover the basics of Python and how to write Python scripts for file parsing and data analysis. The workshop will teach Python 2.x, which is currently the most widely used Python version.

 

This is a 9-hour workshop that takes place over three 3-hour classes scheduled for:

  • June15,17,19  1-4pm

If you cannot make it on these days but are interested in this workshop, please contact us as new dates may be added to accommodate the schedules of workshop registrants.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops - please indicate whether you can do so in the Comments box at the bottom of the page.

 

What: Introduction to Python Scripting geared toward Life Sciences Research tasks.

Details: Learn to use the Python scripting language to parse your data and extract selected features and subsets of data. Our Introductory Python workshops will enable you to write simple scripts tailored to your data analysis needs.
