A wiki is a collection of web pages designed with ease of  access  and ability to contribute or modify content. The collaborative encyclopedia Wikipedia is one of the best-known wikis.

Wikis are typically used to facilitate documentation and knowledge management activities.

Wiki's lend themselves for many activities in typical academic research laboratories. This hand on session will include a quick overview of the features and functionality. Attendees will create, edit and organize content as part of this workshop. Best practices for employing wiki's in your laboratory from documenting laboratory protocols and experimental outcomes to planning weekly lab meetings.
