BCF assists investigators by providing software support for selected commercial and academic software. We also offer collaborations for extensive interpretations of data.
- Software for sequence alignment and analysis: CLUSTALW, HMMER, and Phred/Phrap/Consed for fragment assembly are available along with many public domain utilities.
- Access to the STADEN Package, EMBOSS sequence analysis suite
- Assistance with High Performance Computing tasks, such as large BLAST jobs, EST clustering, gene-finding, PAML, PUZZLE, and other phylogenetic software.
- Access to the Accelrys GCG suite of software for genetic and sequence analysis. GCG contains over 100 interrelated software programs with a graphical user interface (SEQLAB). It enables scientists to analyze DNA, RNA and protein sequences and to perform evolutionary analyses and primer design.
- Desktop based sequencing applications like Oligo Primer Design and ABI Genotyper software.
- For Microarray analysis we offer two Dual flat screen PC workstations with a variety of commercial and academic microarray software packages installed. This software includes: Affymetrix MAS and DMT, BioConductor, D-Chip, BRB ArrayTools, R Package, TIGR Tools, plus other public domain packages.
- Access to Iobion Pathway Assist for pathway and biological network analysis.
