I'm an Applications Systems Analyst with a background in both molecular biology and computer programing. I have been working with the BCF since Nov. 2006. I design, develop, and manage robust LIMS (laboratory information systems) to organize data generated by GATC 's high-throughput, automated workflows. Our systems pair reliable and scalable back-end databases with easy to use web interfaces for our end users. BCF LIMS help ensure the quality and efficiency of laboratory workflows by supporting the following areas:
- sample and inventory management
- assay results data archival, retrieval, quality control, and analysis
- automated reaction setup
- automated sample cherry picking
- billing
