The Biotechnology Computing Facility is located in the Biological Sciences West [BSW] building and consists of a number of facilities: Data Analysis and Processing Laboratory Located in BSW 240, this facility is comprised of PC workstations, a high resolution color laser jet printer and slide maker. The laboratory also provides access to desktop-based sequence and image analysis and processing applications. Data Center Located in BSW 141a, housing the core infrastructure that supports all BCF services along with other Bioinformatics core laboratories on campus. Comprised of UNIX, LINUX and Windows based servers with disk storage and backup systems, these servers run various sequencing applications, databases, web services and house local copies of genomic databases. Molecular Modeling Laboratory Located in BSW 533, this facility houses the Silicon Graphics Workstation. Equipped with stereo vision and software for molecular modeling. Microarray Analysis Laboratory Located in BSW 240, this facility includes two dual flat screen PC workstations running the latest in Microarray analysis software. Software Development Laboratory Located in BSW141, this facility provides the work environment for our staff and students working on various ARL and BCF related projects. Using our Facility Our services are available to all University of Arizona faculty, staff and students. We are committed to providing our users high quality, personalized services.
