UArizona – Year of Open Science
UArizona is participating in the 2023 Year of Open Science, which is a multi-agency initiative across the federal government aimed at promoting open, equitable, and secure science through events and activities. UArizona is supporting this initiative by hosting, participating in, and contributing to various open science activities happening on campus. To share their activities, members of the UArizona campus community can submit a Year of Open Science activity form to request to have activities posted on the DSI website.

Computational and data science events
The Data Science Institute supports and sponsors many computational and data science events at the University of Arizona. Be part of the data science community in a variety of ways including:

Join the weekly Coffee & Code, Hacky Hour, and Code Commons meetings and events that are open to all and are great opportunities to network!

Participate in the annual spring events, Women in Data Science (WiDS) and ResB(az)2 Arizona (Research Bazaar Arizona).

Become a certified Carpentries Instructor.
